Recently, I submitted a paper to ICML 2026. I want to share my experience about the whole process. Before going ahead, I want to clarify that I’m not leading author of the paper (although I beleive that I did decent contribution) and paper was rejected. The opinions are totally mine and I’m not sure if my coauthors beleive the same.

Recently, I appeared for the interview at CSA and CDS of IISC for MTech Research. Here I will share the experience of the same. I will also add my final thoughts on overall how I felt and where did things go right or wrong (mostly wrong).

In the series of posts, we will discuss about 2 stage object detectors Fast-RCNN, Faster-RCNN and their ideas. I will also give a brief introduction to RCNN but will not go into much detail.
